In collaboration with the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects (AKBW), the State Agency for the Environment (LUBW) and the Innovation Centre for Circular Construction (InZiBau), Zirkular co-developed the ‘Circular Construction Qualification Programme’ in Germany in 2024 as strategic lead. This practice-oriented continuing education programme is aimed at professionals in the construction and real estate industries who want to plan and implement their construction projects in a circular manner. In five modules, participants are given an intensive introduction to the potential and challenges of circular construction. The programme combines theoretical basics, experience from practical projects, workshops and an excursion.

The pilot run of all modules was successfully completed in November 2025. Together with other experts in the field, Zirkular contributed valuable content to the first module, ‘Introduction to Circular Construction,’ which stimulated exchange among the enthusiastic participants. The programme was rounded off with a workshop and an excursion to Basel. Zirkular will continue to support the transfer of knowledge across national borders in the coming years and will also participate in the implementation of the qualification programme in 2026.
