Five residential buildings and a pavilion are being constructed in the ‘Am Rain’ housing estate in Lucerne for the Geissenstein-EBG cooperative. The pergolas and bicycle shelters feature almost two kilometres of steel structures and handrails made from reused components and surplus stock. Their roofs are being constructed using reused corrugated Eternit.

In addition to the housing development, a reuse multi-purpose pavilion is being built to serve as a community meeting place. A significant proportion of the materials will be sourced from the demolition of the existing building and supplemented by the procurement of external reuse components.

Zirkular is supporting the project from the early analysis phase through to completion, particularly in the areas of reuse consultancy and component procurement.
